This page is dedicated to linkage to sites relating to concerns my patients have had over the years.  As always, I encourage patients to visit the National Institutes of Health online.  At the NIH, patients can learn that acupuncture is a proven science.  The research has already been completed and the verdict is in: Acupuncture Works!  Nonetheless, our cultural issues surrounding needles and our lack of community understanding for the role of Traditional Chinese Medicine relegates the science of acupuncture to the 'alternative medicine' category.  Rather, acupuncture is traditional medicine and has been for over 2,000 years.  In addition, ongoing hospital and clinical research has proven both the clinical efficacy and mechanisms by which acupuncture works.  Moreover, the acupuncture treatments themselves are comfortable, soothing, and effective.
