The Treament of ADD (ADHD)
Attention Deficit Disorder
ADD (ADHD) is often treatable with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). If an individual presents with excitability, fidgeting, and hyperactivity accompanied with night sweating and feeling hot or overheated then ADD can be treated effectively with TCM herbs and/or acupuncture. Some may have additional difficulties including excessive thirst, dry mouth, insomnia, rapid heart beat or palpitations, red cheeks, poor memory, headaches, and nose bleeds. These complications are treatable as well.
The aforementioned ADD syndrome is characteristic of Yin Deficiency Syndrome within the Traditional Chinese Medicine system. The diagnosis and history of successful treatment for this disorder dates back well over 1,000 years. In many cases, a simple herbal remedy is adequate to resolve the condition. In more severe cases, acupuncture is necessary as well.
